For those who have been keeping up with the development of Bukit Beruntung over the past 10 years, it’s clear how the area has been slowly evolving. Business activities in what many once called a “slump” are now eye-popping.
With its proximity to the ECRL Serendah cargo hubs, two North-South Highway exits (Bukit Beruntung & Sungai Buaya), and a growing population (thanks to the “slump” stigma over the past 30 years that kept housing and commercial property prices unbelievably cheap and below market value), the area has steadily attracted more residents over the years.
Now, the new JPJ Puspakom—planned to replace the existing one in Wangsa Maju—is under construction and is expected to be completed by the end of next year. This will bring even more traffic and business activity to the area.
I think it’s finally time to drop the word “slump” when talking about Bukit Beruntung.
